A number of the Posh Academy sides concluded their campaigns with a game at the Weston Homes Stadium this week.

Following the conclusion of the games programme for the Under 9s through to the Under 14s, youngsters within those age groups were given the opportunity of featuring in fixtures against Leicester City at the Weston Homes Stadium over the course of the last few days.

Not only that, but the club officially welcomed the new intake of Under 9s, who were in attendance alongside their parents to officially start their Academy journey.

Academy Director Dan Robinson said: "It was a brilliant opportunity for the youngsters to play at the Weston Homes Stadium and for our Under 8s who are now starting their Academy journey at Under 9 level, they completed their Induction Evening with their official shirt presentations. That was fantastic to see and great to see so many of their families in attendance.

"For the youngsters to get the chance to play on pitch was obviously superb for them and something they will never forget.

"It is always a pleasure and a privilege for our young players and coaches to get the opportunity to sample what it is like to play at the home of the first team.

"There have been a host of players who have progressed all the way through the Academy system to the first team squad and have completed the journey that a lot of them are on or just beginning."
