While the first team are currently working hard at La Cala, players from within the Professional Development Phase of the Academy are also being put through their paces in the Spanish sunshine.
The youngsters flew out to Malaga earlier this week for a short training camp as they prepare for the upcoming games programme with three of them joining the first team squad for the friendly with FC Magpies.
Assistant Academy Manager Ben Seymour-Shove said: "Our PDP training camp has been a really positive experience so far, teaming up with Malaga City Football Club. We have been well looked after at some excellent facilities and it has allowed us to do some real intense work with the players.
"We are looking forward to the rest of the tour, exposing our players to different experiences, challenging them in different ways and hopefully we will see the benefit of the four days in the new campaign."
