On Wednesday (16th April) all Academy goalkeepers (U9-U16) attended a development day where they spent time out on the grass training and improving their goalkeeping skills.
The day included observing the first team goalkeeping training session and watching Jed Steer, Nicholas Bilokapic and Will Blackmore in action.
This was followed by a Q&A where the academy goalkeepers got to pick the brains of the three first team goalkeepers who passed on some good knowledge and advice.
Academy Goalkeeping Coach Harry Hogg said: “The day was a success and showed a real sense of alignment from the academy all the way through to the 1st team. It was a great experience for the academy goalkeepers to be around the first team goalkeepers and gave them a clearer idea of what it takes and the levels they have to reach to become a professional goalkeeper.”
