The Schools Initiative continues to prove popular with primary schools across the region receiving a visit from the club.

It is a month since children returned to Primary Schools across the region following the summer holidays and, in that time, Bobby Copping, who delivers the assemblies, and special guest Peter Burrow have visited over 25 schools, engaging with future fans, providing a fun start to the day and handing out FREE tickets to a forthcoming Sky Bet Championship fixture.

Whilst a large proportion of games at the Weston Homes Stadium include a sizeable travelling away support, the club have identified a number of fixtures where supporters occupying the Deskgo Stand are from the Schools Initiative.

Since the last update on the initiative, the duo have travelled across a number of counties visiting schools including Surfleet, Edenham, Northborough, Langtoft, Orton Wistow, Farcet, Upwell, Wisbech St Mary and Tilney St Lawrence.

Copping said: “We have made a really good start to the initiative with 25 schools ticked off inside the opening month and October is looking extremely busy ahead of the half-term holidays. We are booking schools in throughout November and December. The assembly features a short DVD, plenty of fun and interaction, a visit from Peter and much more and we give every school that we visit tickets so that all of the pupils can attend a match at the Weston Homes Stadium free of charge and that includes one adult too!”
