On Monday (4th October) evening Peterborough United Women first team players Cassie Steward and Ellen Marson spent time visiting young female footballers at the Posh Girls Elite and Development Centre.

The midfield pair were on hand to pose for photos, answer questions and participated in the training sessions based at Peterborough United’s idverdeUK Training Ground.

Girls Co-Ordinator Georgia Clarke said; “It was great to have a visit from a few Women’s first team players to our Girls Elite/Development Centre recently. It really gives our younger players something to aspire to. Our younger players really enjoyed engaging with the first team players and getting the chance to ask them some questions. It is nice to see the strong link between the Women and Girls pathway.”

Posh Women midfielder Cassie Steward added; “It really was great to see so many young girls out there playing football and it was fantastic to be able to meet them and spend time watching them train and hopefully we can see them progress and eventually reach the Women’s first team at Peterborough United.”
