The football club are advertising for a volunteer role as Women’s Reserve Team Assistant Manager.
Title Women’s Reserve Team Assistant Manager
Location Peterborough
Responsible to Women’s Reserve Team Manager
Supported by Squad Coaches and Senior Coach
Purpose of post: To deliver practical football sessions and support reserve team manager at training and match days
Start date July 2021
Rate of Pay Voluntary, 1.5hrs training per week + Match days (training is held on Wednesday evenings 7pm - 9pm and match days take place Sunday afternoon)
Responsible for:
- Ensuring the welfare of the players is maintained
- Delivery of football sessions under the guidance of the manager
- Supporting other coaches’ delivery within session including GK sessions
- Support with the talent ID of players where relevant
- Support manager with player communication.
- Discussions with manager around next steps of training and matchday structure.
- Prepare for training and match day delivery
Key Skills and Experience required:
Essential
- Knowledge and Understanding of Child Protection issues and hold current FA Safeguarding Children certificate
- FA Level 2 Coaching Award
- An accepted FA Disclosure and barring Service Disclosure (FA CRB)
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends
- Own transport essential
- Professional approach and attitude
- Ability to work in a team
- Recognised First Aid Qualification
Desirable:
- UEFA B Coaching License
- Understanding of Talent Identification
- Understanding of Long Term Player Development
- Knowledge and understanding of working with young players
- Experience in Coaching Girls Football
