This Sunday (18th October) the Posh Ladies face Rotherham United in what could be a key battle in the race for promotion from the East Midlands Women’s Premier Division.

This Sunday last season’s top two go head to head in what could prove to be a crucial game come the end of the season. The Posh Ladies have begun brightly with two wins from three, and will be looking to get their first victory on home soil this Sunday. Rotherham have started the season strongly, having won their opening two fixtures.

We spoke to manager Kathryn Lusk to get her thoughts going into the game: “Every game is important to us. Based on last season, Rotherham is a huge game, not only in our quest for promotion but theirs as well. Regardless of the outcome there is still a lot of football to be played, but we are determined to come out on top on Sunday.”

With both teams already firing on all cylinders, Sunday’s fixture promises to be an entertaining game.

The Ladies Reserves away fixture to Newport Pagnell Town has been postponed and will be rescheduled for later in the season.

The Posh Ladies will be kicking off at 2pm at the Mick George Training Academy on Sunday, where spectators will be limited to one per player, and must all fill in a track & trace form. You can follow live updates from the game on our Twitter feed (@POSH_WG).
