Hygiene is now more important than ever, and with that in mind we are pleased to have secured the laundry services of Peters’ Cleaners.

Peters’ Cleaners have given the Foundation their support by providing free laundry services. Their support is much appreciated.

Peters’ Cleaners were recently awarded Best Dry Cleaning Business in the 2020 UK Enterprise Awards, and are proud to be supporting the Posh Scholarship for the 2020/21 season.

Founded in 1963, Peters’ Cleaners has won multiple awards since a change of ownership in 2016 and is consistently praised for its longevity, outstanding customer service and more recently for its innovating self-service POD at Serpentine Green.

The ‘cash point’ style POD at Serpentine Green (next to the Barber’s Pod at the entrance to Boots) means customers can drop off or pick up their dry cleaning and laundry at any time of the day or night, 365 days a year – ideal for busy people.

Peters’ Cleaners’ shops in Stamford and Peterborough are consistently praised for providing exceptional cleaning coupled with first class customer service, but opening hours are limited to 8.30am – 5.30pm Monday to Friday and 8.30am – 4pm on Saturday. For busy people a more convenient solution was required, and the self-service POD enables people to drop off and pick up at any time, with the same quality of cleaning at the same price and turnaround.

It is incredibly simple to use –sign up to receive your cards at www.peterscleaners.co.uk then simply put your clothes in a bag with a card, scan and drop at Serpentine Green and scan and collect when they are clean and pressed! As the only fully automated drop-off and pick-up for dry cleaning and laundry in Europe, it is not only convenient but also Covid Safe as there is no human interaction.

All the hard work is done by Peters’ Cleaners who collect them from the self-service POD, notify the Customer and then clean and press them to Peters’ Cleaners’ high standards. Peters’ Cleaners then returns them to the POD where they are programmed onto a conveyor and the Customer is notified. The Customer can then go and collect their items at their convenience.

The conveyor concept has been used in 5-star and 6-star hotels around the world for staff laundry but this is the first time the concept has been targeted at paying customers. Peters’ Cleaners is due to launch their second POD at Peterborough Station (at the back of Waitrose) in November/December. Launch had been planned for earlier in the year but was delayed due to Covid-19.

If you want to use the POD you can sign up now at www.peterscleaners.co.uk to receive your membership cards.
