The UK’s largest independent car retailer, which has a network of thirteen branches across England, Scotland and Wales, is offering the facility to all customers unable to visit in person in light of the current coronavirus situation. All Motorpoint branches including the branch in the city are open and continue to trade as normal.
The service, which starts from Friday, March 20, will be available seven days a week and free to customers within a 100 mile radius of their nearest Motorpoint branch. Customers over 100 miles would incur a charge. Furthermore, staff delivering vehicles will observe recommended ‘social-distancing’ measures at all times during the handover of the vehicle.
Motorpoint, which was recently awarded Platinum status by Feefo for its outstanding customer service, currently has over 6,000 low mileage, nearly new cars and light commercial vehicles available from over 30 different manufacturers. Mark Carpenter, Chief Executive Officer of Motorpoint, explained: “These are challenging times and to help minimise the disruption to our customers’ lives Motorpoint is rolling out a home delivery service with immediate effect to those people who aren’t in a position to physically collect their vehicle from our branch network.
“You can already search, find and reserve any one of our 6,000 plus cars from your home via our website. From today you also have the option for your car to be delivered to your door on a date and at a time that suits you courtesy of Motorpoint.”
Motorpoint has always followed the most stringent cleaning procedures when it comes to the preparation of its vehicles. This has been further enhanced to ensure all vehicles are fully sanitised before they go out for a test drive, and protective covers fitted as standard to the steering wheel, door handles and gear sticks prior to collection by a customer.
