Over £6,000 raised by former Posh midfielder as he took on marathon challenge.

Former Peterborough United midfielder Adam Fry has thanked supporters for their generosity after raising over £6,000 for the EFL’s charity partner, MIND, by undertaking what eventually became eight marathons in seven days.

Fry, who’s initial target was to complete three marathons in a week, got a taste for the challenge and despite battling the elements as well as the inevitable blisters, completed the mammoth undertaking during June.

Fry said: “I would like to thank everybody who donated. To raise over £6,000 for such a wonderful charity like MIND is fantastic. Mind’s contribution in offering support and resources to adults and young people in respect of mental health issues is invaluable.”
