Peterborough United are pleased to launch our Grassroots Football day which is taking place on Saturday 11th January 2020 at the Weston Homes Stadium.

Last season we teamed up with the hugely successful and popular Peterborough Junior Alliance League to offer ALL players the opportunity to come and watch Peterborough United in action for our inaugural celebration of grassroots football and this year we are extending the invite to include all FA Charter Standard clubs and clubs that compete in the S-Tech Girls and Women’s League within the surrounding area too.

This offer will allow up to 12 registered players of these clubs to watch free of charge alongside two of their coaches/managers. Additional tickets can be purchased at discounted rates.

Marketing Executive Jake Baxter said “Last years inaugural celebration was a massive success with over 100 clubs at the game. It was a pleasure to work with Hazel and David Burgess at the PJAL and we are delighted to continue this partnership whilst also extending the offer to many more clubs in the area. We look forward to welcoming young players from across the region and hope they enjoy their day out at the Weston Homes Stadium.”

Furthermore, four teams will be chosen at random to be flag bearers pre-match and take penalties at half-time on the pitch. We will also have the National Literacy Trust around the ground handing out free reading books to youngsters to support the #PeterboroughReads initiative.

Ticket availability is limited so we encourage you to book as early as possible.
