Peterborough United Co-owners Darragh MacAnthony, Jason Neale and Stewart R Thompson have released details of the options available to season tickets holders for the current 2020/21 season.

These options have been sent to season ticket holders via email with instructions on how to select their preferred option. Season ticket holders who we do not hold an email address for will receive instructions via the post.

Information about the ballot process for those who choose option 1 or 2 below will be released soon. Any supporters with remaining matches on a 10-game flexi ticket that was deferred from last season will be able to redeem these matches once we are under tier 1 (or less) restrictions.

Season Ticket Holders,

Thank you for your patience while we have sorted this out. It’s been a unique season for everyone involved from the owners through the staff and supporters. As of today (1st December) there is still a number of things that are uncertain, but this policy outline was created in the following context:

1. According to the UK Government, 2,000 supporters will be allowed into Posh games as of the first week of December
2. The policy surrounding supporters in the stands is subject to change
3. Outside of the potential of repayable emergency EFL funding, there is no financial support forthcoming from either the government or the EFL in the near future, and the owners are planning as if none will be coming at all
4. iFollow has not been the consistent product we had hoped it would be
5. That all season ticket holders care passionately about the future of their football club
6. This policy takes in the time period of October 1, 2020 to the end of season 20/21, however that is determined by the EFL

With this in mind, we have elected three options for compensating you. Please consider the options below, and by midnight on Sunday 6th December let us know how we can accommodate your choice. Please contact the ticket office (for opening hours click here) if you would like any of our staff to walk you through the details of your preferred option

It is imperative that you have selected your option before the deadline above to ensure your choice is fulfilled and access to any ballot is given where applicable

OPTION 1 – DONATE TO ACADEMY

1. Donate your pro-rata refund to the Academy. This includes the seven league games up until the return of fans to our stadium, plus any future games missed this season whilst the club are subject to capacity restrictions in tier 2 or 3 (currently set as Government policy)
2. Your name on the wall of our Category 2 status dome scheduled for completion in 2021
3. Priority access to the ballot for home games dependent on UK Government policy. In Tier 1 this means all season ticket holders will get into Weston Homes Stadium, in Tier 2 means 2,000 on a rotating basis via a ballot, and Tier 3 means that no fans are in the stadium
4. Ten tickets to Youth Cup games at the Weston Homes stadium or U16/U18 academy games when attendance is safe
5. Attendance to home pre-season friendlies (where our academy players traditionally feature) for pre-season 21/22 and 22/23, subject to safe conditions
6. Keep club cash for Fleetwood game (already awarded)
7. iFollow access for the remainder of the season or until stadium capacities return to normal

OPTION 2 – FOUR-YEAR PRICE FREEZE AND PREFERENTIAL SEAT SELECTION

1. Four-year price freeze on your season ticket (20/21 price at relevant age category) if we remain in League One and two-years if we are successfully promoted to the Championship. Based on only a 5% increase per season, it represents savings of around £230 (on a season ticket at £439). If the club spent two years in League One and two years in the Championship the saving could be over £300
2. Donate your pro-rata refund to the club. This includes the seven league games up until the return of fans to our stadium, plus any future games missed this season whilst the club are subject to capacity restrictions in tier 2 or 3 (currently set as Government policy)
3. Priority access to the ballot for home games dependent on UK Government policy. In Tier 1 this means all season ticket holders will get into Weston Homes Stadium, in Tier 2 means 2,000 on a rotating basis via a ballot, and Tier 3 means that no fans are in the stadium
4. Guaranteed seat selection at the new stadium with priority selection over other fans
5. Keep club cash for Fleetwood game (already awarded)
6. iFollow access for the remainder of the season or until stadium capacities return to normal

OPTION 3 – REQUEST PRO-RATA REFUND

1. Request pro-rata refund for all home league games for the 2020/21 season that a season ticket holder is not able to attend due to Government restrictions, both to-date and until you can attend future games (Tier 1 or similar)
2. Fleetwood club cash revoked
3. Refund is either cash or club cash (your choice) and the Club will pay this in instalments over the next 90 days starting in December and continue thereafter if attendance remains limited to 2,000
4. iFollow access will have to be purchased and is not included in this option
5. Participation in the ballot whilst the club remains in Tier 2 will not be facilitated. Attendance will be prioritised to fans that select Option 1 and 2

Again, thank you for your patience through this incredibly challenging year. We will continue to say thank you for everything you’ve done for the club to this point. We have made it through the season shutdown and the loss of our playoff run, the lack of support for the industry from government, the EFL, or the Players Union, and we have endured a season of silence at the Weston Homes Stadium together. And we are only in the middle of it.

Remarkably, and with your support, we are emerging as one of the stronger clubs through the pandemic. Second place, Family Club of the Year, a new stadium on our horizon, and the continued support of you. Up the Posh!!
