Peter Burrow is back and is helping kids stay fit and healthy over Christmas.

With children breaking up from school for the Christmas holidays, the football club are delighted to bring you a short series aimed at Primary School children to keep them fit and healthy during the festive period featuring our hugely popular mascot Peter Burrow.

On the club’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel, “PE with Peter” will launch at 9.30am on Monday morning with new editions on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Boxing Day (to burn off all those carrots eaten on Christmas Day).

Peter is joined by Academy Sports Scientist James Baum for the sessions which last for around eight minutes for each edition and encourage children to participate in some simple exercises to stay fit, as well as having some fun!

Press Officer Phil Adlam said: “We wanted to see if we could put together a short series over the Christmas period to try and encourage children to stay active and who better to help lead that than Peter Burrow?! The sessions are short and sharp but plenty of fun and of course, it is not just the children that can participate, adults can too!

“We are actively encouraging you to take part and not just take part but send in your photos and videos of you doing so, we will feature them in future editions of the show. We hope that children across the city get involved. Peter is looking forward to seeing everyone participate and has already got some more fun exercises up his sleeve.”

Once the daily show has premiered on Facebook and YouTube, you will be able to watch back at any point should you wish. The club are looking to film future episodes for the New Year. The club would like to thank Nick Reinis-Keightley for his hard work putting the episodes together.

Please send all photos or videos of those taking part to media@theposh.com or Tweet them to us @theposhofficial.
