The first-round draw of the EFL Trophy is now complete with Fulham U21s joining Posh, Burton and Cambridge.
The 2020-2021 EFL Trophy first round draw (group stage) has been made with Peterborough United set to face local rivals Cambridge United, fellow Sky Bet League One side Burton Albion and the invited under 21 side, Fulham.
The draw was completed live on TALKSPORT 2 on Tuesday afternoon with the first group game set to take place in the midweek following the Carabao Cup first round tie against Cheltenham Town, which is pencilled in for Saturday 5th September at the Weston Homes Stadium.
As with previous years, the under 21 side will play away from home so that tie will definitely take place at the Weston Homes Stadium. The full fixture list for the competition including dates and kick-off times will be available shortly.
