Posh are back in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon with Rochdale the visitors.

After an enforced 10-day break, Peterborough United are back in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday with Rochdale the visitors to the Weston Homes Stadium (3pm) as Darren Ferguson’s men look to make it five wins in a row in all competitions.

Dale have also enjoyed a rich vein of form and have only been beaten once in league action this term, that coming against Sunderland at the Crown Oil Arena in a game that they performed admirably in.

Last time out in the league, both sides enjoyed 3-0 wins, Dale coming away from Roots Hall with a 3-0 victory over Southend United while Posh comfortably overcame Sunderland 3-0 at the Weston Homes Stadium thanks to a double from Marcus Maddison.

TEAM NEWS

Posh are without the services of left-back Frazer Blake-Tracy due to injury but aside from a few knocks and niggles, should be at full strength for the game. Marcus Maddison, who was named the August Player of the Month for League One this week, will be looking to build on his excellent start to the campaign.

Rochdale had a game in midweek in the Leasing.com Trophy but made wholesale changes and following a 2-0 defeat to Manchester City under 21s, it is highly unlikely many will keep their place in the starting line-up. Ian Henderson and Callum Camps are both in good form and will be huge threats.

FROM THE GAFFER

“We need to make sure the break doesn’t stunt our momentm and I have spent a long time talking to the players about the threats that Rochdale pose. They play through the thirds and are a good side, they have dangerous players and you need to be fully focussed for the full 90 minutes. Our players are in a good place, they are looking forward to the game,” Darren Ferguson said.
