Posh head to the Keepmoat Stadium to face Doncaster Rovers on Saturday.

Peterborough United travel to the Keepmoat Stadium to face Darren Moore’s Doncaster Rovers in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon (3pm) looking to extend the current unbeaten run, which stands at six in all competitions following the 2-2 draw at Tranmere Rovers on Tuesday night at Prenton Park.

Rovers lost their unbeaten run on Tuesday as they were beaten by a last gasp goal from Blackpool at the Keepmoat. There have been lots of changes in personnel since last season’s controversial clash between the two sides which ended in a 3-1 defeat for Posh.

Doncaster were then managed by Grant McCann but following his departure to Hull City, Moore has taken the helm and has made a good start to life at the club.

TEAM NEWS

Posh welcome back Frazer Blake-Tracy to the squad after a few weeks out with a muscle injury. George Boyd could also return after missing the last two games with a slight hamstring injury.

Doncaster have been scouring the free transfer market as they look to boost their attacking options following the departures of Malik Wilks and John Marquis in the summer. Tommy Rowe also departed the Keepmoat so only Kieran Sadlier remains in terms of players with a foot in the Posh camp from the past.

FROM THE GAFFER

“I know a number of the Doncaster players from my time there, but there has been a lot of changes at both clubs, even since last season’s meeting between the two sides. It is a good pitch, will be a technical game because they like to play between the thirds and they have a resilient streak because they don’t concede many goals. They keep going, score a lot of late goals and up until Tuesday night were unbeaten,” Darren Ferguson said.

FROM THE OPPOSITION

“It’s a game we’ll look forward to but it’s a game we’ll have to be at our absolute best to come away with a result. Peterborough have had a great start to the season, they’re scoring goals and have a lot of good attacking players. They also have a lot of players that know their way around this league so it bodes well for another exciting game between two teams who like to play on the front foot. You put all those ingredients in the melting pot and it’ll produce a good game at the Keepmoat Stadium,” Darren Moore said.
