Peterborough United Chief Executive Officer Bob Symns has urged supporters to watch their language.

As I’m sure you are aware the football club is dedicating a massive amount of time and resource in encouraging young new supporters through its Schools Initiative to come and join us on matchdays in the Motorpoint Stand to experience the fun and enjoyment that being a Posh supporter can bring … excluding our last two away games!

Step 2 is to then to invite them to visit Peter’s Burrow and then hopefully encourage their full time membership in the Family Stand.

All sounds good so far … however, I’m sad to inform you that the reported incidences of foul and abusive language from adults in the Family Stand is causing great concern not only for other existing adult Season Ticket Holders but from parents of new school children who are bringing the young ones to their first games.

This practice is totally unacceptable on all levels and any persons found to be in breach of our Ground Regulations in regard to use of foul and abusive language will be subject to arrest/ejection and Banning Orders.

In closing I would ask for your consideration and understanding as we introduce new fans to our home and stadium … we want them to come back.

Bob Symns
Chief Executive Officer
