Posh Ladies looking forward to ABAX Stadium fixture against Solihull Moors.
The Peterborough United Ladies entertain Solihull Moors at the ABAX Stadium on Sunday 26th May (7pm) and following an excellent campaign which saw the Posh women lift the County Cup and finish second in their league, they are hoping to celebrate their achievements in front of a good crowd.
The football club are working closely with local junior girl’s football teams and schools within the area to encourage people through the turnstiles with the Women’s World Cup getting underway in France less than two weeks after this fixture.
Manager Kathryn Lusk is expecting a tough test from Solihull, who play in a league above the Posh Ladies. “It’s always a huge honour to have the opportunity of playing at the ABAX Stadium and is something that the players are really looking forward to. As a team we have had a fantastic season and this will be a great way to close this season, before the players have a well-earned rest.
“We are expecting a tough contest from Solihull Moors Ladies and I’m sure both teams will be really keen on showcasing an entertaining game of football. We hope the fixture will encourage people to come and watch and all support will be greatly appreciated by the players.”
