The football club hosted the latest senior citizen event on Wednesday with John Barnwell the special guest.

Over 70 senior citizens were present in the Caroline Hand Executive Suite for the latest monthly event with former Peterborough United boss John Barnwell the special guest speaker.

Barnwell was a popular choice as he recounted tales of his career in the game before Club Historian Peter Lane’s quick quiz. The Alzheimer’s Society were also present offering help and advice. Press Officer Phil Adlam said: “Once again, it was great to welcome senior citizens to the stadium for this event.

“It has proved a popular monthly event and is growing all of the time. John was a great speaker and I know the feedback has been positive. Work has already begun on the April event before we break for the summer. A big thank you to Peter and Sandee Lane who continue to arrange and host these events.”
