The Schools Initiative is underway with the first visit of the 2019-2020 campaign in Thorney on Monday morning.
On Monday morning, the Schools Initiative for 2019-2020 got underway with a visit to the Duke of Bedford Primary School in Thorney with mascot Peter Burrow spending time meeting youngsters and entertaining everybody with his usual antics.
As like last season, every pupil in the school received a FREE ticket for a forthcoming Posh fixture with an adult also admitted free of charge too. Press Officer Phil Adlam said: “We have a target for this year and we obviously want to visit as many primary schools in the area as we possibly can. It was great to kick-off the initiative in Thorney and it was a great welcome we received.
“We hope that the children enjoyed the visit and meeting Peter and look forward to welcoming them to our game with Fleetwood Town at the beginning of August.”
