Peter Burrow the star attraction at latest Peterborough United School Assembly.
The Peterborough United Schools Initiative continued on Thursday morning with a visit to Market Deeping Community Primary School and mascot Peter Burrow was extremely popular with youngsters and teachers alike.
Every pupil received a FREE ticket to a forthcoming fixture at the ABAX Stadium with an adult also admitted free of charge. Press Officer Phil Adlam said: “We really enjoyed the visit to this particular school and part of that was down to the enthusiasm of all of the teachers. It does make a massive difference when they are so positive about our intentions.
“We were also fortunate that one of the teachers at the school is a former youth team player at the football club so it was easier to persuade him to get up and show off his flossing skills alongside the rabbit. We hope to see pupils attend a match in the future.”
