Job Title: Age Group Squad Manager
Reports to: Lead Phase Coach & Head of Academy Coaching
Type of Position: Part-time
Hours: 2 Evening sessions a week and game day.

Job Purpose
To be responsible for the delivery, monitoring and evaluation of high quality football sessions and management of games to our academy players. Assisting with each individual’s development alongside the lead phase coach.

Job Overview
The job holder will be responsible for delivering, monitoring and evaluating the key themes at the venues instructed.
The job holder will be responsible for ensuring delivery of the club’s philosophy are sustainable.
In addition to this good management, organisational and administrational skills will be required to work closely and successfully with our senior management team.

Be accountable for monitoring and evaluation tasks as directed by Lead Phase Coach & Head of Academy Coaching.

Job Summary
Key Skills and Experience Required: ESSENTIAL
To hold FA Coaching Football Level 3 Qualification. (UEFA B)
FA Youth Module 1 and 2
Hold a full clean driving license and have access to a vehicle to enable service delivery at different venues.
Have an understanding of Safeguarding issues
Experience of working with a selection of ages including children, young people and adults.
Have the ability to supervise and manage a group of young people.
To hold a current Safeguarding and protecting children and BFAS First Aid certificate
I.T literate – Working on Excel, Word, Powerpoint
FA Coaching License – Coaches Club

Key Skills and Experience Required: DESIRABLE
FA Youth Module 3 + Assessment
Knowledge of inputting information on the PMA tool
Experience of coaching within a professional football club environment

Main Duties and Key Responsibilities
To coach a specific age group within the academy according to the academy philosophy and syllabus.
To deliver effective innovative session plans in line with EPPP requirements.
To maintain accurate records of training and match outcomes using the PMA system.
To collect, maintain and upkeep records of attendance at sessions, and conduct evaluation of the provision on an ongoing basis via PMA.
To be part of a team of Part-time and Full-time Coaches responsible for leading high quality academy sessions to players ages between 9-12 or 13-16
Other such duties that are reasonably directed by the line manager or their representative from time to time.
Take part in all available in service CPD opportunities to gain further knowledge and increase the high standards of delivery.
Major Objectives
To continue to gain knowledge and help develop the working of the department.
To develop internal relations with all departments at the football club to support the whole club philosophy.

Specific Responsibilities
To organise and deliver high quality football sessions to elite players aged between 9-12 or 13 to 16.
Plan and provide a supporting role at a range of events and competitions as required.
To adopt a flexible approach to ensure all sessions are innovating and provide each individual player with the opportunity to develop.
Implement the Academies administrative procedures and safeguarding policies.
To be able to use your own initiative and work as part of a team.
Ensure health and safety procedures are implemented, and recorded as required.
Attend any relevant training requirements for example, first aid, safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
