Posh welcome Bolton Wanderers to the Weston Homes Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm).

Peterborough United entertain Bolton Wanderers at the Weston Homes Stadium in Sky Bet League One action on Saturday afternoon (3pm) looking to build on last weekend’s excellent 2-2 draw at Fratton Park against Portsmouth.

Darren Ferguson’s men currently sit in third place in the League One table with Bolton currently bottom after a host of off the field problems saw points deduction, a change of ownership and subsequently manager and a whole host of new players.

TEAM NEWS

Posh welcome back midfielder Joe Ward from a groin injury while Marcus Maddison has recovered from an illness that has seen him miss over a week’s work of training. George Boyd has not been ruled out but Siriki Dembele (hand), Frazer Blake-Tracy (ankle) and Josh Knight (quad) have been ruled out.

Bolton are without the services of defender Jack Hobbs and midfielder Liam Bridcutt due to injury but Daryl Murphy, who has been nominated for the League One player of the month, is expected to lead the line despite off the field revelations this week.

FROM THE GAFFER

“Bolton have a lot of experienced players, players that have had promotions out of this league. They have a good manager and I firmly believe they will get out of the trouble they are. We have spoken this week about complacency, we have warned against it. Bolton are a tricky opponent, they have players who can hurt you. However, we are at home, we have been good at home and we want that to continue,” Ferguson said.

FROM THE OPPOSITION

“I think they’ll be looking at our away form and the goals we have conceded with a big smile on their face. I have been in a lot of fights in my life and this one is a relatively enjoyable one. It is hurting us a bit – but there’s a clear vision for this football club to make it successful again.

“We have to show more fight, be braver and more courageous in our decision-making. And at times we probably have to be a bit boring as well, especially away home, why not,” Bolton boss Keith Hill said.
