Peter’s Burrow proves popular with young supporters at the Weston Homes Stadium.
On Saturday, Peterborough United officially launched Peter’s Burrow, a designated area for young supporters in the BGL Family Stand, offering a place where they could read, play and enjoy ahead of the opening Sky Bet League One fixture of the season against Fleetwood Town.
The ’Burrow’ is situated within the concourse of the stand close to the Weston Homes Terrace and features toys, games and much more thanks to our wonderful partners Smyths Toys (situated in Boongate, Peterborough). There is also Peter’s Corner Shop which is selling specific Peter Burrow merchandise.
Peter was quick to join in the fun as he spent time with youngsters in the zone and we look forward to welcoming even more enthusiastic youngsters for the next home games against Ipswich Town on Saturday 17th August.
Jake Baxter, Marketing Executive, said: “This is something we have been working on throughout the summer to help enhance the match day experience for youngsters in our Family Stand. Our maintenance team have worked extremely hard to bring the area to life and we are indebted to Smyths Toys, who have allowed us fill out the area with wonderful toys, books and games from their store.
“We are a little restricted on space in the stadium, but that doesn’t mean we cannot be creative with what space we do have and we believe we have produced an area that youngsters will enjoy. Peter certainly enjoys it!”
