Posh midfielders Alex Woodyard and Joe Ward visited the Goldhay Arts centre, based at The Cresset in Bretton, on Thursday (20th September) afternoon.

Goldhay Arts is a registered charity offering weekly sessions in the performing and visual arts to adults with learning disabilities. Their aim is to provide a quality service with an emphasis on personal development through experience of the performing and visual arts.

The Posh duo were quizzed about their footballing careers, before signing autographs and posing for pictures. The pair were also presented with some artwork and a cake as a thank you for visiting.

Posh captain Alex Woodyard said; “We really enjoyed coming and spending time with the members of the Goldhay Arts centre. It was fantastic to meet them and spend time talking to them and the staff and seeing the impact they have on the local community. It’s really important, for us as players, to see the work that goes on in the local community and how we can help make an impact.”

The visit was arranged through club sponsors Walters Limited, who have chosen Goldhay Arts as their official charity.
