NCS is back for Autumn 2018 for 16 and 17 year olds!! After a fantastic summer programme, we are giving people the opportunity to join us for NCS Autumn 2018.
On top of the fantastic weather, the summer was great for NCS participants. Lots of young people tried something new and pushed themselves to whole new levels. We saw new groups of friends form, whilst others enjoyed spending time with the friends they bought with them. We saw some young people become confident, brave and charismatic.
The summer NCS programme raised around £3,000 for local causes. Hospitals, schools and charities benefitted from the work that young people had done. Staff and young people celebrated a great summer by sharing stories, videos and pictures of their summer at Graduation. We will never forget it. Once you have graduated, there are lots of opportunities through NCS Trust for work experience, apprenticeships and volunteering. You can also apply to be in the Regional and National Youth Boards. This year we received the highest number of graduates that are now getting the chance to access graduate opportunities.
Now it’s your turn to experience this with us on the shorter Autumn programme. It includes 3 Nights away in Norfolk taking on activities like High Ropes, Kayaking and Caving. We then spend 3 Days participating in workshops and activities that will develop skills including life skills, CV writing and talks by inspirational people who have been affected by current issues in the world. Finally, you will plan and deliver a social action project. You can raise money or awareness for local causes. Some of you may even have a charity that you already feel passionate about. Your efforts will make a huge difference in the community by helping vulnerable people, helping the environment or even improving important services in the area.
This government funded programme costs around £1,000 per young person. YOU ONLY HAVE TO PAY £35.00!! So, join us for this once in a lifetime experience, whether it’s on your own or with a group of friends you won’t regret it.
