Ladies continue excellent start with a comfortable win over Kettering Town.
Peterborough United Ladies put in a near faultless performance to secure a 4-0 home win against Kettering Town WFC.
Keir Perkins opened the scoring in the 10th minute to make it 1-0 when a through ball played by Donna McGuigan was met by Perkins who shot past the oncoming keeper.
With the comfort of an early lead the Ladies started to play some exquisite one touch football with Pendred, Challis and McConville at the heart of the action. The Ladies doubled their lead in the 33rd minute and made it 2-0 when Jess Driscoll strolled past two defenders before firing in past the despairing goalkeeper.
The Ladies continued to search for the third goal and their persistence was rewarded in the 39th minute when Perkins put in a marvellous cross across the face of goal which was met by the oncoming Kathryn Lusk who at the second attempt was able to finish at close range to make it 3-0.
The second half continued in a similar fashion to the first with the Ladies dominating possession and only the Kettering goalkeeper preventing the score line from increasing. However, she was powerless in the 63rd minute when a through ball from Driscoll found Perkins who was easily able to round the goalie to make it 4-0.
This was another outstanding performance from Peterborough United Ladies. They retained possession throughout the game and played some mesmerising one touch football.
