On Monday 26th November we visited our partner school, Nene Park Academy, for an Enterprise Day with their Year 7 students.
We spent 90 minutes with each half of the year group, in which we split into groups of 8, so the students got the chance to work with people they would not usually get to work with.
The students were challenged with the task of creating new mascots, kits, fan zones and billboards as well as using their mathematics skills to work out the missing figures in the budget sheet. Each group would have to come up with a team name and logo and decide each person’s role within the group. They then presented their ideas and designs to the rest of the group at the end of the day.
We hope the students enjoyed the day just as much as we did, and we look forward to seeing them soon at a future home league game, as all participants received a free ticket for themselves and an adult for a December fixture.
We would also like to thank city based, BGL for enabling us to go and deliver enterprise days to students around Peterborough.
