The latest from the Futsal Scholarship programme at the Mick George Training Academy.
We are delighted to announce we will be offering Football as well as Futsal as part of our post 16 scholarship. For the past four years we have run a successful futsal scholarship out of our first team training ground (Mick George Training Academy) in partnership with Nene Park Academy who provide our scholars their education.
The Scholarship will enter into two exclusive leagues, both which are only open to EFL and Premier League teams. This makes our programme very exclusive in comparison to other providers locally who play against college teams whereas we will play against opponents such as Millwall, Southampton, Stevenage and Crystal Palace.
Our unique partnership allows our players to leave the secondary school which they may have studied at for a numerous amount of years and become a member of Nene Park Academy. This will allow each player to tailor their studies to suit each individual. We enhance their studies by giving players the option of studying B-tec or A-Levels while representing PUFC on a daily basis. Another exciting announcement is previously we were only able to offer scholarships to players who achieved five GCSE’s between grades A*- C however those students that drop short of these will now be able to enter onto a BTEC Level 2 whilst continuing to play football.
If you are now entering into Year 11, you can apply for a place with us from October 1st. If you have finished Year 11/12 then you will be able to apply immediately online through UCAS or Nene Park Academies website. However if you contact Scholarship@theposh.com we can provide you with further assistance on how to do so.
