The latest match report involving the Posh 'A' team.
This game was dominated by Peterborough and rarely looked like losing against an ordinary looking Birmingham side. Posh out of the blocks quickly and inside the opening minute they took the lead when Nassunculo played a one-two with Kietly and tucked it into the corner.
Shortly after that, Posh doubled their lead when Kietly fizzed a ball to the far post for Nassunculo to tap home. Birmingham then pulled a goal back when the wide player struck the ball goalwards and Bland couldn't keep it out.
Posh then re-established their two goal buffer when Powell played a ball to Jaquite who back heeled it into the net. Then Peterborough went further ahead when Kietly received a pass off Nassunculo who runs with the ball and fires across goal to make it 4-1 before half time.
After the break, Peterborough continued to dominate proceedings and went 5-1 up with a quick counter attack from a poor touch from the Birmingham player and Nassunculo dribbled through the players and finished well.
Posh then added a sixth when Jaquite rounded the goalkeeper and put the ball across goal for Hollis to tap home. Birmingham then grabbed a consolation goal when Bland could only parry into the path of the Blues striker. Overall a dominant display from Peterborough and some great finishing won them this game.
