Posh 'A' romp to huge win over Leicester City.
Posh A wanted to keep the run of form going with consecutive wins. They started poorly and struggled to break Leicester City down in the first five minutes but as soon as the substitutes were made, they stepped the tempo up with Gray and Mucklin making a big difference.
The chances started to come as Mucklin hit the bar with a great effort from a distance out and Hollis missed the following up. Posh finally opened the scoring when a corner was well worked and Gray rifled the ball home to make it 1-0 to Posh.
Posh made it 7-0 shortly after Gray tapped home before Leicester City struck back after a short corner was taken and found it’s way to Hundal who toe punted the ball past Bland into the bottom corner.
Mucklin got on the score sheet just before half time to make it 8-1 at the break. Into the 2nd half and again Posh started slowly but after 3 to 4 minutes the tempo picked up again and chances started to flow, Keitly got himself on the scoresheet, finishing calmly from close-range. Posh then started to play fly keeper and chances were coming more and more frequently. During this period Gray completed his hat-trick with a good finish after good work from Nassunculo and Powell.
Posh’s 11th goal of the game soon arrived as Nassunculo finished with a back-heel effort. Captain Powell got in on the act with a nice finish. Posh’s 13th goal was scored by Keitly who turned his player and fired into to the bottom corner. Leicester scored their second after a sloppy kick in found their way to Hundal who slotted past Bland to make it 13-2. Posh reacted well and scored their 14th goal of the game through Jaquite after a good run from Powell. Posh scored their 15th and final goal when Gray tried to find Nassunculo who missed the ball but it went all the way through and into the net.
