Morias Claims Point For McCann's Men

Junior Morias climbed off the substitutes bench and powered home an equaliser for Peterborough United as they claimed a second successive draw with a hard-fought 1-1 draw against in-form Oldham Athletic at the ABAX Stadium.

Michael Smith and Tom Nichols both saw early efforts blocked, the first by keeper Connor Ripley, after a decent start to this Sky Bet League One contest at the ABAX Stadium.

Lee Erwin fired well wide of the target on six minutes after a poor pass from Baldwin was intercepted in midfield. The deadlock was broken on 10 minutes and it was a fine finish too, Lee ERWIN controlling an excellent first time strike on the volley past Tyler and into the bottom corner following a raking pass from Banks.

Mackail-Smith was denied by Ripley on 23 minutes after a sharp turn in the box as Posh pressed for an equaliser. Nichols hooked a volley over the top after Hughes' had knocked down a Taylor corner kick.

Taylor fired over the bar with a powerful shot on his left-foot on 37 minutes. Mackail-Smith then found the side-netting after a fine Smith pass, the second time the full-back had put a perfect delivery into the path of a team-mate.

Grant McCann made a change at the break with Marcus Maddison replacing Taylor.

Chris Taylor sent a free-kick wide of the near post on 48 minutes after a foul on the edge of the box. McCann made his final two changes before the 63rd minute, Morias and Binnom-Williams both introduced from the bench.

Baldwin headed wide from a decent Maddison free-kick moments later as Posh pressed and they did get the equaliser on 73 minutes as a pinpoint cross from Maddison was powered home by substitute MORIAS.

Inman floated a cross-shot just over the upright on 75 minutes after cutting inside from the left. Moments later, a stupendous pass from Maddison picked out Mackail-Smith, he was held up by the defender, but managed to pick out Morias, who fired inches wide from the penalty spot.

Six minutes of added time was signalled by the fourth official. Mackail-Smith saw a shot deflect wide of the target and Bostwick headed a Maddison corner kick wide during that period.
