Striker Lee Angol has joined National League promotion contenders in loan deal.

Peterborough United can confirm that front man Lee Angol has joined National League promotion contenders Lincoln City in a loan deal until the end of the season.

Angol, who has missed a large chunk of this season due to injury, met up with his new team-mates on Monday ahead of the Imps' fixture on Tuesday evening at Braintree Town.

The 22-year-old, who has netted 12 goals in his Posh career, but only once this term, will follow in the footsteps of Harry Anderson, who proved to be a huge success at Sincil Bank.

Angol would not be able to feature for Lincoln in the FA Cup tie at Arsenal as he has appeared in the competition for Posh already this term.
