Striker Junior Morias bagged a brace as a youthful Posh reserve side recorded a home victory.

The Peterborough United reserves recorded a 4-2 victory over their Barnet counterparts following an entertaining encounter at the Mick George Training Academy with Junior Morais bagging a brace.

All four Posh goals came before the interval with Morgan Penfold and Harry Baldry also on target as David Farrell's men withstood a spirited response from the Bees in the second period to claim a cup success.

Baldry opened the scoring inside the opening two minutes after a clever finish from a Lewis Freestone centre before Morias doubled the advantage with a well-taken strike.

Morias made it 3-0 with a superb right-foot volley into the top corner and Penfold capped a fine week with a close-range effort after a good team move involving Danny Jarvis and Kyle Barker.

Barker (16) caught the eye as an early substitute for Baldry while goalkeeper Dion-Curtis Henry made a string of superb saves in between the sticks for Posh.

Barnet reduced the arrears in the second half with goals from David Tutonda and Ephron Mason-Clark and hit the crossbar late on.

Posh: Henry, Jarvis, Cartwright, Connor, Freestone, Chettle, Baldry (sub Barker), Inman (sub Hart), Borg (sub Maddison), Morias (sub Davison), Penfold.
