Dominic Ball is excited for Saturday's meeting with league leaders Sheffield United.

A visit from the league leaders, a sizeable away support and a possible 10,000+ attendance at the ABAX Stadium - it doesn't take a rocket scientist to work out why Peterborough United centre back is 'buzzing' ahead of Saturday's meeting with Sheffield United.

The Blades, who will be backed by over 4,000 supporters at the ABAX Stadium, are currently top of Sky Bet League One, but after a comprehensive 3-0 victory at Port Vale on Saturday, Ball believes he ans his team-mates will go into the fixture full of confidence.

"I am buzzing for the game. Hopefully I will be in the starting line-up and I can play my first Posh game in front of the home supporters. I think we can build on what we achieved at Port Vale and we will certainly go into the game full of confidence. Sheffield United are top of the league, they will arrive as favourites and we know it will be tough, but I know that we can get the result that we want.

"We have a lot of quality, we are a team that can get promoted too and this kind of game is a good opportunity for us to show what we can do. I love the big games, the more supporters the better. It is a challenge as a young player that I relish and I am excited for the game," Ball said.

Marcus Maddison and a brace from Junior Morias earned Posh a 3-0 victory, their seventh away league win of the campaign, at Vale Park and Ball was pleased with the performance against the Valiants.

'From the first minute to the last, I felt it was a very mature performance. We managed the game very well, were a threat going forward and every defender loves a clean sheet. We worked extremely hard in training leading up to the game, everyone was clear on their jobs and it showed on the pitch.

"Anthony Grant came in and protected the back four. I thought he was different class. He showed his experience and made me (and I am sure Ryan Tafazolli too) feel very calm about the whole situation, even when we came under the cosh for a little bit. He is a calm character and that composure helps the team.

"We know that the next part is getting some consistency in our game but we have two gome game coming up and it is a good opportunity for us," Ball added.
