The Junior Posh party at the ABAX Stadium was a success on Wednesday evening.

Over 150 children packed into the Caroline Hand Executive Suite on Wednesday evening for the Junior Posh Christmas party and there was plenty of fun for all that attended with mascots Peter Burrow, Mick the Skip and Peeby from Princebuild showing off their dancing moves.

The Peterborough United squad were in attendance and everyone got to meet the players, take photographs and obtain autographs before receiving a Junior Posh goodie bag from Father Christmas.

A mini-skip challenge kept the youngsters active while we were pleased to have players from the Peterborough Phantoms Ice Hockey team in attendance who also handed out goodies including free tickets to a forthcoming fixture at Planet Ice.

Phil Adlam, Junior Posh co-ordinator, said: “I would like to thank everybody for coming along to the party and I hope everybody enjoyed themselves. It takes a bit of organising and it certainly could not be done without the help of the club staff who gave up their time to ensure the night ran smoothly.

“A big thank you to Liz Elsom, Wallis Elsom, Dawn Brittain (and her superb children Millie and Ben), Emma Green, Julia Rayner, Cheryl Bereznyckyj, Tony Broughton, Chris Wayte, Chris Abbott, Lou Collyer and the wonderful hospitality staff led by Jess Chatters. Thank you too goes to the players for giving up their time, our wonderful mascots and of course Father Christmas, for finding the time to spend some time with us.”
