An exciting opportunity has become available at Peterborough United Football Club. We are currently looking to recruit a First Team Physiotherapist, working closely with the First Team Manager, Head of Physical Performance and all of the senior management staff. Duties will involve organising and implementing the treatment, progressive rehabilitation, medical screening and movement analysis for all our professional players.

The role will be based at the clubs training ground in Peterborough and will include working evening and weekends. Please note there is the requirement to travel with the team, including overnight stays when necessary, to all games.

Working hours will be based around the training schedule and fixtures of the first team.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, hardworking, and be flexible to the requirements of the position and the business. Ideally applicants will have experience within a similar role, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

Essential requirements

o Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (MCSP)

o BSc Chartered Physiotherapist qualification

o Registered Member of the Health Professions Council

o FA AREA/ATMMiF pitch side trauma qualified

o Previous experience in the sporting field, preferably with senior players

o Competency and knowledge to complete musculoskeletal screening, movement analysis and correction programs of abnormal motor patterns

Person Specification/Desirable requirements

o MSc Physiotherapist qualification or equivalent or working towards MSc

o Must be able to communicate and interact with a wide range of staff.

o Must have the ability to work under own initiative and under pressure.

o Must have the ability to develop within the role, learn new skills and deal with change.

o Must be highly organised and assertive with strong communication and time management skills.

o Excellent communication skills
