Posh stars Junior Morias and Brad Inman visit ICA Sports FC.

Peterborough United striker Junior Morias and midfielder Bradden Inman paid a visit to the ICA Sports Girls under 9s team on Monday (24th April) evening to assist with their weekly training session.

Based at the South Bretton playing fields, the Posh duo spent an hour interacting with the young budding female footballers, joining in with the training drills and encouraging the youngsters, before signing autographs and posing for pictures.

Australian international Inman said “It’s great to see so many girls playing football. The women’s game is growing massively so it’s encouraging to see the young girls getting involved. The Posh Ladies team have been very successful over the last few seasons and it’s great to see more girls enjoying playing football.”

Scott Duffy, one of the ICA Sports FC coaches added; “The girls have all been playing really well recently and to have the Posh players down has given them all a boost. We’ve kept it quiet from the girls and told them last week it was happening so they’ve been buzzing and talking about it all week.

“It’s great for Peterborough United to come out and support us and give back to the community and grassroots football. It’s great to see many more girls getting involved in football and with the women’s EURO’s happening this year, hopefully that will see more girls play football."
