Additional goals from Eleanor Boothman, Jess Driscoll and from Player-Manager, Kathryn Lusk sealed a fine win for the Posh Ladies. Credit to Lincoln Moorlands, they never stopped battling and their persistence was paid off with a goal near to the end of the match.

The Peterborough United Ladies Reserves drew 1-1 with Rothwell Town Ladies’ first team in their latest fixture.

The game started off very well with both teams challenging each other with various shots on goal. During the first half of the match Rothwell performed very well, passing the ball around between themselves extremely well challenging Posh to gain possession. Rothwell ran the game for the first ten minutes making it difficult for Posh to play their game.

As the second half began Posh got straight back into the game gaining possession shortly after Rothwell kicked off. Peterborough took various shots on goal challenging the Rothwell Ladies goalkeeper. As Posh kept pressing up the pitch pressuring Rothwell, all of their hard work was rewarded by a fantastic goal from Jeorgie Carr.

Rothwell equalised late on after a sustained spell of pressure, but it was still a creditable result for the Ladies’ second string.
