Kevin Keegan Sporting Dinner a huge success.
Over 250 guests were treated to a memorable Sporting Dinner with former Liverpool star and ex-England manager Kevin Keegan at the latest Peterborough United event, which was held in the Holiday Inn last Friday night.
Keegan talked about his career with the aid of some hugely amusing photographs and also delved into a bit of comedy during his long stint on the microphone as thousands of pounds were raised for the Peterborough United Academy.
Prior to his speech, guests enjoyed a three-course meal, participated in the always competitive Heads and Tails game and gave generously in the raffle before a star studded array of signed merchandise was put up for auction including a signed Leo Messi boot, an autographed Steven Gerrard shirt and personalised Keegan photographs.
Keegan also took time out to pose for pictures throughout the evening as he recounted his professional debut which took place at the ABAX Stadium for Scunthorpe United. A top quality comedian helped conclude the night before the guests retired to the bar.
