Posh host AFC Wimbledon for the second time this season on Saturday.

Peterborough United entertain AFC Wimbledon at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday afternoon (3pm) looking for the third league victory in a row in front of the home fans.

Tuesday night's 3-0 success over Northampton Town lifted Grant McCann's men into seventh place in the Sky Bet League One table and another three points could see Posh up as high as fourth in the table.

The Dons are also in good form, they are up to nineth in the table after a good run of form, which has included victories at Oxford United, Bury and Charlton Athletic in recent weeks.

Former Posh striker Tyrone Barnett will be in the Dons squad, but they will be without experienced defender Paul Robinson who collected his fifth booking of the campaign in that win over Bury.

George Francomb and Tom Beere are both back in contention for a return to the AFC Wimbledon squad.

First-team coach Simon Bassey today confirmed that Francomb has put a tough month behind him, which included a nasty facial injury and a hamstring strain. Tom Beere also joined in full training this week after shaking off a knee injury.

Posh are still without the services of midfielders Jermaine Anderson and Brad Inman and striker Lee Angol while those who suffered knocks on Tuesday night have shaken those off with McCann reporting a fit squad.

"AFC Wimbledon will be a tricky game because they are in good form. Northampton was a big game, but in my opinion, this game is massive. People from the outside will be looking at Peterborough and wondering if they can go again and win back to back league games.

"The lads are confident, we know that our home form has been good of late and we want to continue that. We are not resting on our laurels, we have to keep it going," McCann said.

The two sides have already met this season with Posh coming out on top 3-2 in the first round of the EFL Cup at the ABAX. Tom Nichols netted twice including in the last minute, while Paul Taylor was also on target.
