The Posh 'B' team suffer a 5-3 defeat to Norwich City.

Posh B kicked off their campaign against another strong Norwich side. Posh went with a different style of play compared to last year and Norwich found it very hard to adapt. Posh B went 1-0 up after Jacquite pressed the Norwich defender on the ball and went through to slot it past the keeper.

Posh B then doubled their lead by Ltaief receiving the ball with quick feet to beat his player and get his shot away which flew past the goalkeeper. Posh B went into half time the better team with a two goal lead. The second half started and within a minute Norwich saw themselves level, a goal within 18 seconds and another within 40 seconds both very similar to each other were Norwich had the ball on a 3v2 situation and both players stayed with their players and allowed the Norwich player to just drive towards goal and take a shot against Martin.

However, the Posh side got themselves back in front from a good position from Hollis who took the ball wide, drove past his player and took a shot which hit both posts and fell to Danko to tap in. Norwich found a fortunate leveller when a shot hit the post and came off Martin's leg and rolled into the net.

The game was now level, but Norwich had moments and Posh B were scrappy going forward not doing which they looked good doing in the first half. Norwich got themselves 4-3 up, capitalising on an error. Posh were now for the first time losing the match and looking to change things around, but Norwich next attack gave them a two goal lead by hitting one into the top corner from range.

Posh's second half display was very poor, losing the second half 5-1 after winning the first half 2-0. Posh will look to grow on their first half performance and take that into their next game to look for their first three points of the season.
