Forrester Shortlisted For Goal Of The Month

11 November 2016

Vote for Chris Forrester to win Goal of the Month.

The October nominations for the Sky Bet League One Goal of the Month Award have been announced and Posh skipper Chris Forrester has been shortlisted.

Forrester is up against former Posh midfielder Erhun Oztumer and Bristol Rovers striker Matty Taylor for the award, which is voted for by supporters.

Below is the description of the goal from the EFL statement;

Chris Forrester – PETERBOROUGH UNITED v Bury

Two quality touches from Forrester to turn an overhit cross into a beautiful goal. The first cushioned the ball to Tom Nichols, the second to send the keeper the wrong way and bury it in the net, after Nichols’ return pass.

The winners of the Sky Bet EFL Goals of the Month are chosen by a fan poll on skysports.com. The shortlist for the poll is decided by a judging panel following suggestions from supporters via Twitter.

The judging panel comprises Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman; Sky Bet Sponsorship Manager David Tweed and EFL Commercial Marketing Manager James Walker.

Voting closes on Tuesday 15th November with the winner announced on Friday 18th November.
