Auction set to close on signed match ball.

The matchball from the epic Fourth Round round replay by Peterborough United v West Bromwich Albion has been kindly given to auction by Peterborough legend and charity ambassador Grant McCann.

The money paid for the matchball will go to the local Peterborough charity Free Kicks Foundation who raise money to give deserving children and adults days out at football.

The money will be put towards the biggest 2016 fundraiser the charity has, a team of 28 cyclists from the ABAX Stadium in Peterborough will cycle to the Amsterdam Arena on June 10th and 11th.

Every year the charity hosts 5-a-side football tournaments, cricket matches, golf days and quiz nights that have been huge successes for their recipients and families who took part.

Adam, one of the very first of the charities recipients, passed away and his mum Rachel wrote a letter to the charity to display her gratitude: “Adam had been a fan of Chelsea for a few years before he was diagnosed with cancer. When Free Kicks Foundation offered him a VIP trip to see Chelsea play, he was more than anything overwhelmed.”

The auction for the ball closes at 2pm on Friday, if you would like to put in an auction price go to this link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/-/131804606891
