Ian Wright, the latest guest at Sportsman's Dinner.
Guests of Peterborough United’s latest sportsman’s dinner were treated to a fantastic evening with former England and Arsenal striker Ian Wight and Posh fan and TalkSport presenter Adrian Durham at the Holiday Inn.Wright told stories about his illustrious career, which included winning the Premier League title with the Gunners in 1998 and of course playing for England.
He was joined on stage by TalkSport presenter and Posh fan Adrian Durham, who kindly donated his fee to the Chris Turner statue fund. We would like to take this opportunity to thank Adrian for his donation.
Over 280 guests enjoyed a three-course meal before hearing Adrian Durham quiz Wright about his career and were also given the opportunity to meet Wright as well as having pictures taken and getting memorabilia signed.
The night, which was organised by the Club’s commercial department Alex Harris and Horris Jones, also included an auction of top quality sporting memorabilia and concluded with comedian Sid Dennis.
