Ben Mackenzie has rejoined the club as Head of Sports Science.

Peterborough United manager Grant McCann has appointed Ben Mackenzie as the club's new Head of Sports Science.

Mackenzie, who worked for Posh when McCann was a player at the ABAX Stadium, will join the club ahead of the beginning of pre-season training.

McCann explained the appointment to theposh.com: "I worked with Ben really closely when I played for the club and he was excellent. It was the fittest I have ever felt working under him and I am really pleased with this appointment.

"We already have a very good sports scientist in Neal Lattimore at the club. I feel as if they will compliment each other and allow Neal to concentrate more with the under 21s and the 18s and learn from Ben.

"For them two to be in charge of the first team, the under 21s, the 18s and below will be great for us as we want to try and bring as many of the youngsters through and having two excellent Sports Scientists with us will only help us with that," McCann said.
