In a game of two halves, Posh and Lincoln played out a 2-2 draw at Sincil Bank Stadium with Matty Stevens and Jordan Nicholson finding the net.

The game began well for the home side, who had an early opportunity blocked well by Posh captain Michael Bostwick.

Posh soon began to grow into the game and after a Nabi freekick hit the Lincoln wall, Bostwick now turned attacker as his effort was saved by the Lincoln keeper.

Midway through the first half, Nabi found the space to shoot, and his effort deflected off of Matty STEVENS to loop into the top left of the Lincoln net to give Posh a 1-0 lead. Not long after, Nabi was again involved as his curling freekick rebounded off the bar, resulting in a goalmouth scramble and the ball was eventually cleared away.

With Lincoln searching for an equaliser, Posh won the ball back in the centre of the park, and Tom Nichols raced towards the box and found NICHOLSON speeding goalwards, who cooly made the score 2-0.

The second half began and it was Lincoln who began the brighter when a corner wasn’t cleared by Posh and the ball found its way to Jamie McCOMBE who’s toe poked finish drew a goal back for the home side.

Within minutes, Lincoln were gifted another opportunity to score when they were soon awarded a penalty when Simmons was fouled in the area following a breakway.Rhead stepped up to shoot and his effort was saved well by Tyler low down to his left.

As Posh struggled to regain their rhythm, MULDOON went on a jinking run through the Posh defence and finished well to even the scores at 2-2.

With the game drawing to a close, Lincoln continued to push forward and trouble the youthful Posh defence, but it was Nabi once more who almost clinched victory for Posh as his placed effort slid inches wide of the post late on.
