Posh boss Grant McCann is expecting a tough test on Saturday when his side face Norwich City.

Peterborough United entertain Sky Bet Championship side Norwich City at the ABAX Stadium on Saturday (3pm) and manager Grant McCann is expecting a tough test from a side who were playing in the Premier League last season.

After a 1-0 victory over Boreham Wood and a 1-1 draw at Boston United, McCann will give his players an hour each against the Canaries with a 120-minute fixture scheduled.

The game will be split into four quarters of 30 minutes to allow all members of both squads to get game time and McCann is looking forward to the challenge.

"I said to the lads before the Boreham Wood game that they needed to give it all they had in terms of fitness because that 45 minutes would stand them in good stead for the Norwich test we have ahead of ourselves.

"I expect Norwich to have the ball a lot because they play a similar way to what we do, so it will be a really good test and one we are looking forward to.

"It is a bit of a different structure to the game, but that will be good for us to get four quarters of 30 minutes, it will allow us to get an hour into the legs of every player and that is a step in the right direction," McCann said.

Former Posh defenders Russell Martin and Ryan Bennett are expected to be involved for the Canaries, while Harry Toffolo, who spent time on-loan at the ABAX Stadium last term, is also set to feature.
