Posh boss excited ahead of the Emirates FA Cup tie at West Bromwich Albion.

This weekend, Peterborough United get a break from Sky Bet League One action as Graham Westley's men travel to Premier League outfit West Bromwich Albion in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup (3pm).

In three games so far in the competition, Posh have yet to concede a goal after victories over Burton Albion, Luton Town and Preston North End and Westley admits that the FA Cup is a chance to create a legacy.

"The FA Cup is a special competition. As a manager it gives you the opportunity to create a legacy. One of my proudest moments came at Stevenage and because of the run we were able to build a new training ground and it is brilliant that there is a competition that allows you to leave that legacy behind.

"Generations of the future will benefit from that. That is where the real magic of this competition comes in for me. You have to make sure you don't underestimate any challenge. It is not an easy job to travel away to a Premier League outfit and play Premier League players and play to win, but you have to make sure you don't underestimate yourselves either.

"They have Premier League status because they have the facilities, the infastructure, the manager, the board, the players and they are capable of producing Premier League standards on a consistent basis. Clubs like ours have players that can possibly produce the standards but maybe not on a consistent basis or are learning to do so.

"We know that players move from clubs like Peterborough to Premier League clubs, you only have to look at Dwight Gayle and Lee Tomlin, on their day if our players perform to their best we can get the result. It is a massive opportunity and the challenge that lies in front of us.

"We will have a massive following at West Brom. The fans have been fantastic ever since I stepped in the door and everyone is looking forward to this tie, there is no doubt about it," Westley said.

The Posh boss was speaking at the pre-match press conference at the Mick George Trainign Academy with the FA Cup trophy also in attendance.
