Posh head to the Den to face Millwall on Saturday.

Peterborough United make the trip to the Den on Saturday in Sky Bet League One action with Millwall the opponents for Graham Westley's men (3pm).

The Lions were beaten 2-0 at home by Scunthorpe United on Tuesday evening, a match watched by Westley and he said in this week's press conference that the home side had their chances to win the game.

"Myself and Macca (Grant McCann) went to watch the game and Scunthorpe took their opportunities. They played well, but Millwall had their opportunities to win the game themselves.

"Millwall losing was probably the worst thing that could have happened in a way. That result will steel them for our game. They obviously won’t want to lose at home twice in the same week.

“Millwall actually played very well and had chances to get something from the game so they won’t be lacking confidence ahead of our game.

“We have some ground to make up, but it’s a very close division and a string of wins will soon make the league table look very different.

“It could be we need to win 10 or 11 our last 16 games to have a chance of going up. You can look at how many points have been needed in recent seasons, but no two seasons are the same.

"To win promotion you have to win a lot of a games. It’s as simple as that. I wouldn’t call Millwall a must-win match though as there will still be plenty of points to play for after Saturday," Westley said.

The Posh boss is without long term absentees Joe Gormley and Jermaine Anderson, but does welcome back midfielder Harry Beautyman who missed the defeat to Bradford City due to illness.

Defender Gabriel Zakuani will continue to be assessed after he was replaced on 70 minutes with "stiffness".

The Lions are six points ahead of Posh in the League One table and striker Steve Morison signed a new deal at the club this week.

Posh had sold just under 400 tickets in advance of the clash and fans are able to pay on the turnstiles. Tickets will be on sale in advance until 3pm on Friday from www.theposhtickets.com, the Ticketmaster hotline 0844 847 1934 and in person at the ABAX Stadium Box Office.
